Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

We promise to promptly pick you up from your Kampala accommodation or Entebbe International Airport. What is next? Journey for 374 kilometers to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The smooth drive offers a lot of breathtaking views of natural wonders, for you to pause and soak in. Lunch is a lot better when eaten enroute to the park. Before you even enter Queen Elizabeth National Park, take photos at the equator monument, situated at Kikorongo. Enter the park and head for check in at your lodge. Get some hot dinner in the evening, and then take a few hours of the night sleeping.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive in Kasenyi and Launch Cruise in the afternoon

It is the second day of your 5 days Uganda safari and you need to wake up for a cup of tea. A calm breakfast is the start, that might be topped by a thrilling game drive. In the plains of Kasenyi, drive on the game tracks. Watch all the best savannah land mammals which include 4 of the Big five. Lions, elephants, cape buffaloes and leopards all roam in this area. Sightings of warthogs and antelopes are plenty here. There is lunch served at your lodge starting from noon, that you must not miss.

At Kazinga Channel, cruise on the waterway while in a luxury motorboat. While comfortably seated spot crocodiles and hippos enjoy the cooling water. A lot of birds like the pied kingfishers, grey crowned cranes, shoebills and African fish eagles fly around you. The guide also talks about interesting stories surrounding the waterway and wildlife. Drive back to the lodge in the wilderness to relax for the rest of the day. End the second of the 5 days Uganda safari with overnight, which comes moments after dinner.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi with an Ishasha Game Drive

Today, your destination is Buhoma Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. But, embark on a game drive across the Ishasha sector on your way there. This place houses prides of tree climbing lions. When you see them, ensure to capture their photos with your camera. Drive to Bwindi, but, a highly necessary pause for lunch is really special for you. At the forest you arrive, then check in at the lodge you booked prior. Get ready to spend the night in luxury. Only do this once you take your dinner.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi Forest

Make this day stress-free by first taking breakfast as soon as you wake up. Park authorities expect you at Buhoma trailhead before 8:00 a.m. They wish to engage you in a short session to communicate some really essential gorilla trekking tips. A ranger guide takes the lead as you follow him/her to track a habituated gorilla family. Find the gorillas and immediately notice their unique behaviors in the wild. You have an hour for this, and also to capture some photos.

In total a gorilla trek takes between 2 to 6 hours. This is why you move with packed lunch from the lodge. Remember, each night gorillas sleep in different places within their home range. Also, if you trek fast enough, the adventure takes less time than if you are quite slow. Return for debriefing at the trailhead and get a genuine certificate for your successful trek. Head back to the lodge for a more relaxed time as you refresh. End the fourth day of your 5 days Uganda safari with dinner, and overnight stay after it.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe Airport. End of Safari

Today, you only travel back to Kampala. The scenic trip after breakfast offers a lot of interesting views of bird, flora and others. This journey is 467 kilometers long and has a pause for lunch. Pause again when you reach the Equator monument in Kayabwe. Take a lot of photos to remember how you stood on either hemisphere. End your 5 days Uganda safari in Kampala or Entebbe. That is after drop off at Entebbe airport of your accommodation.
