Our Story

Generous Earth Safaris was established with a desire to help travelers travel differently. Too many tour companies often focus only on the Big 5 while not giving enough time to gorilla trekking and visitors never have the most satisfying travel experience. We aimed at creating something deeper, and safari experiences that respect client choices, support local communities around several safari destinations, without putting our clients in any uncomfortable situation.

Our work relationships with conservation projects, community groups, and the best guides and lodges are stronger, especially across tourism destinations in Uganda and Rwanda. This approach allows us to offer experiences that are both luxurious and budget friendly, meaning traveling with us will enable visitors to fund gorilla protection directly, and support beneficial community projects.

We believe tourism should be insightful and leave an everlasting memory, and we are proud our team consists of experienced personnel who spent years living and working in these destinations. Some of our team members grew up around Bwindi or the Virunga volcanoes.  While others have spent decades guiding visitors through the forests and savannahs. This deep local knowledge means we can adapt and adjust plans quickly in case of weather changes, gorilla groups locations.

The Big 5 game encounters are a favorite activity to many passionate travelers especially in the vast savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth in western Uganda, and Akagera national park in the Northern part of Rwanda. Boat cruises along the Nile or Kazinga Channel are heartwarming.

Many of our visitors often love to engage in a 10 to 14-day travel plan that flows naturally from the dense rain forests in the western part of the country to open savannah national parks. We’ve also received clients who prefer a shorter focused trip or longer multi-country safaris that include the great wildebeest migration in both Maasai Mara or Serengeti and that's what we deliver best.
