4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

Overview

Amplify your happiness with a 2 days double gorilla trekking in Uganda, particularly in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Explore two distinct habituated gorilla families in their natural habitat for an hour each. Moreover, each adventure is done in a different gorilla sector of the park, Rushaga and Ruhija. This is made possible due to the healthy population of mountain gorillas in the forest. Actually, 459 individual gorillas live inside Bwindi. Another key activity tailored for this trip includes a canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi. The safari must begin in Kampala, or in nearby Entebbe.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Regardless of being at Entebbe International Airport or accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala, we pick you up. Do not pass by the Equator monument at Kayabwe, where to photograph yourself on both the north and south hemisphere. Near you, experiments to prove that you are stepping on grounds situated along the equator can be performed for you. Continue on your original journey to reach Bwindi, but also stop for enroute lunch. Check in at a lodge adjacent to the forest and get dinner prepared but still very hot. Overnight stay is at the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trek in Rushaga and Transfer to Ruhija

Your life is about to get exciting when you experience a gorilla trek. Get you breakfast and take it. Pack lunch and check out of the lodge. Move towards the Rushaga trailhead for a perfect time to attend a briefing. The park’s warden ensures that you learn the most important tips of gorilla trekking. Once you get to know the habituated gorilla to trek, start the search for them on foot. An experienced ranger guide leads the way to reveal the various trails to the gorillas.

The search ends when you find them, already foraging or doing other things. Every behavior of theirs can be observed at a distance and within an hour. Go for your lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, some 92.3 kilometers away from the Ruhija sector.  Check in at your booked lodge near the calm waters of Uganda’s deepest lake. Now you can look forward to spend the night here.
