The Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and travel to home
Find the professional driver guide at the Kilimanjaro Airport, and he will be the one to take you to Arusha for a quick orientation from Generous Tours expert. Have a great time at the lodge, and dinner will be offered to you.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire –Best of Tanzania
After a hefty breakfast, expect to travel for about 2.5 hours to Tarangire. Today’s afternoon excursion in Tarangire will include a guided game drive. During the game drive in Tarangire National Park, expect to explore varied wildlife and unique vegetation. The popular encounters on the Tarangire tour include wildebeests, zebras, lions, gerenuk, and Oryx, etc.
Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti
Leave the lodge after breakfast for a memorable sunrise game drive through the Tarangire National Park. Today’s game viewing session allows you to look out for animals you never saw during the previous afternoon game drive. After the morning game drive, you will exit Tarangire for Serengeti National Park.
Day 4: A full-day wildlife experience in Serengeti
Have breakfast and afterwards, embark on a long-day tour through the plains of Serengeti with an expert. Today’s extensive day tour involves exploring wildlife in Serengeti, with focus to witness the powerful Tanzania’s Great Wildebeest Migration. Get a chance to observe over 1.5 million wildebeest along the Grumeti River. Other possible animal sightings include leopards, lions, hyenas, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, warthogs, and more.
Being a full-day experience, you will travel with a packed lunch, which you can enjoy in the wild. After having lunch, resume the afternoon search for more Serengeti wildlife.
Day 5: The Central Circuit of Serengeti –From morning to afternoon
Leave your respective accommodation for yet another rewarding game drive session. Look out for several animals that roam around the central region of Serengeti National Park (Seronera). The possible sightings around the Seronera circuit include the Big cats and other predators. Expect to also find amazing birds, including, among others, secretary birds, martial eagles, and tawny eagles, etc.
Day 6: Hot Air Balloon & Drive to Ngorongoro
Get up early and embark on a sunrise balloon tour. This is an exceptional moment to rise above the sweeping plains of the Serengeti National Park. The anticipated sightings on the Serengeti hot air balloon include predators, wildebeest migration, zebras, giraffes, and many others.
After the balloon session, have a bush breakfast and later, exit Serengeti for Ngorongoro. Arrive early and relax at the lodge, then proceed to the afternoon game-viewing experience.
Day 7: Game drives around the Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive and explore the wonders around the scenic Ngorongoro Crater. Expect to find the largest profusion of wildlife, especially the Big 5 –lions, leopards, buffaloes, black rhinos, and African elephants. Ngorongoro is also popular for wildlife such as the gazelles, zebras, spotted hyenas, bat-eared foxes, golden jackals, and diverse birds including the ostriches.
Today’s session covers morning and afternoon, with lunch to be enjoyed in the wilderness, or you can drive back to the lodge. After the game drive, you will spend the remaining duration in the comfort of your lodge.
Day 8: Ngorongoro to Arusha for Departure
Wake up and get some breakfast, before you check out. Today, you will be exiting the Ngorongoro Crater for Arusha. From Arusha, you will connect to your next destination or catch up with the flight back home.
