Safari Overview
The 6 Days Classic Tanzania safari introduces you to some of the iconic destinations along the prominent Northern Circuit. Embarking on this captivating safari is a great opportunity to visit Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Serengeti National Parks. Each of these Northern Tourist Circuit sites has unique things to be experienced. At the Serengeti, expect to witness the Great Migration and unusual game drives across Tarangire & Ngorongoro.
The Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Visit Tarangire for Tanzania Safari
Early morning, a safari expert will be present at the hotel to pick you up, and you will start your journey to Tarangire National Park. In about a 2-3-hour drive in a 4WD vehicle, you will be at Tarangire. This park is most famous for its ancient baobab trees, huge herds of elephants, and other interesting animals. After you have reached, proceed to the accommodation for a quick relaxation and lunch.
Start the afternoon in Tarangire with a guided game drive. Sitting on an area of over 2850 sq. km, Tarangire National Park rewards nature enthusiasts with amazing sightings of wildlife along its varied landscapes. The possible sightings on a game drive through Tarangire include leopards, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and birds. After your successful afternoon game drive in Tarangire, expect to retreat and have adequate relaxation time in your respective accommodation.
Day 2: Quick Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Ngorongoro
Enjoy a hefty breakfast, and after, you will have your luggage already packed in the vehicle. Embark on a game drive and enjoy sightings of wildlife, especially the sun risers. Later, exit Tarangire for Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive at the Ngorongoro early and expect to have an enriching afternoon game drive session.
As you navigate via the lush savannahs of Ngorongoro, expect to find lions, black rhinos, elephants, and other unique animals. Proceed to the Karatu area for you to retire for the night.
Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti
Have a tasty breakfast and check out of the lodge at the Karatu. Enjoy a game drive as you exit Ngorongoro, and the rest of the day will be spent in the scenic Serengeti. After having lunch in your respective lodges in the Serengeti, you will continue with a memorable afternoon game drive experience.
Day 4: A Full-day in the Central Serengeti
It is time to embark on an extensive immersion into the true African wilderness. Expect to start your wilderness safari along the Central Circuit, a spot known for excellent sightings of predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions.
The vast savannah plains of the Serengeti comes with astonishing encounters beyond predators. Countless antelope families, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and birds will also be sighted. Today’s game drive sessions will be subdivided into two- the morning and afternoon. You won’t return to the lodge for lunch since you will move with some packed food to enjoy in the bush.
Day 5: Another Full day in Serengeti –Tanzania
After breakfast, continue with another remarkable full day game viewing session. Look out for several animals and also track the Serengeti’s Great Migration. As you navigate via the plains of Serengeti, you will have surprising marvels on predators as they actively hunt. You can choose to have lunch in the wild or drive to the lodge and get back for the afternoon game drive excursions.
Day 6: Departure Time
After having breakfast, you will officially exit Serengeti and drive back to Arusha. Once you have reached the beautiful Arusha city, you have only two options; to be dropped off to the hotel or airport. This day concludes the entire 6 Days Classic Tanzania safari.
