Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from your Hotel in Nairobi to Masai Mara. Late afternoon Game Drive.
Our guide picks you up from your hotel quite early in the morning. This is to transfer you to Masai Mara National Reserve on this first day of your 3 days Masai Mara. Drive for a distance of 253 kilometers with a variety of scenic views. Great Rift Valley features enroute make pauses to witness them inevitable.
Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch at your pre-booked camp. Relax and then go into the eastern areas for a game drive. Watch a lot of large mammals with pleasure. Cheetahs, lions and sometimes leopards approach your safari vehicle. Also, watch wildebeests, zebras, rhinos, elephants and so many antelope species around you. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive
With packed lunch, head for a game drive in the central and western parts of the Masai Mara. Watch a lot of big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards in the morning hours. A lot of elephants, buffaloes and rhinos are available to spot. Marvel at the Oloololo Hills and many rift valley features.
Take some time at the Mara River in case the Great Migration happens. Thousands and upon thousands of a combination of wildebeests, zebras and Thompson’s gazelles tend to cross the Mara river. They come all the way from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania looking for better pasture and water in Masai Mara. Overnight stay back at your camp again.
Day 3: Transfer to Nairobi and end safari
With breakfast at your leisure, check out of the camp and drive back to Nairobi city. Get your lunch while it is still hot enroute. Then, expect drop-off at your beautiful city accommodation or the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. End your 3 days Masai Mara safari in style before you board your departure flight.
